The staff at Smile Hotel Utsunomiya were incredibly friendly and always eager to assist. The shower was refreshing, and I enjoyed the easy access to local shops and restaurants nearby.

However, the room was smaller than expected, making it challenging to unpack my luggage comfortably. The elevator was a bit slow, which made rushing for connections difficult.

The location is superb, just a short 5-minute walk from Utsunomiya station, making it super convenient. The breakfast buffet offers both Japanese and Western options, with the Japanese breakfast being a highlight—delicious and satisfying!

Rooms are cramped. I couldn't even open my carry-on properly!!! Plus, the absence of hotel parking is a hassle, even if public options exist at a higher price. The AC in my room made annoying noises!!!

The breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations with a fantastic variety, especially the delicious Japanese options.

However, the shared amenities could use a bit of improvement, as the elevators were occasionally slow, and there was limited space in the common areas.

The hotel is a stone's throw from the train station, like, less than 5 minutes, which made it super easy for our adventures.

It wasn’t cheap but honestly, you get what you pay for.

I loved the spacious room and the excellent breakfast options, though the bed was a bit firmer than I’d prefer. Overall, a solid place for my stay.
